Let’s start from the beginning..
While pursuing my BA in Acting at Columbia College Chicago, I stumbled into photography almost by accident. In the early stages of the COVID-19 quarantine, I picked up a camera initially for self-taping purposes, but soon found myself captivated by the art of capturing moments through my lens.
UBX3 Photography was born.
As a self-taught photographer, I've honed my skills through experimentation and dedication to my craft. With UBX3 Photography, I've embraced the ethos of 'Unapologetically Big, Black and Bold' in every aspect of my work. Aiming to empower marginalized voices and celebrate diversity through each photograph. Through vibrant colors and bold compositions, I strive to capture the essence of life's moments with fearless authenticity. My goal is to ensure that every image reflects the spirit of inclusivity and bold self-expression.
Since 2021, I've had the honor of serving as the resident photographer for the Chicago Dance Collective,
We Are Dance Collective. Their mission, to create a safe, communal space for all artists to come together and express their movement, deeply resonates with me. We Are Dance Collective allows me to be creative and play, while emphasizing the celebration of the queer experience. Welcoming everyone into the groove, We Are Dance Collective fosters growth and creativity within the queer community and beyond.
Every click of the shutter is an opportunity to document moments and memories, and I'm grateful for the chance to do so. I look forward to continuing this incredible journey in the ever-evolving world of photography.
